The Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger is a professional DC to DC adaptive 3-stage charger equipped with built-in Bluetooth.

This device is designed for use in dual battery systems in vehicles or boats, where the (smart) alternator and the start battery are used to charge the service battery. With Bluetooth connectivity, the unit can be easily monitored and programmed. It also features a remote on/off control and an engine running detection mechanism.

The Orion-Tr Smart charger is compatible with both 12V and 24V systems and supports lead acid and lithium batteries. Models are available up to 400W, and multiple units can be connected in parallel to increase output power. It is also suitable for high temperatures up to 55°C, delivering full rated output up to 40°C.

Adaptive 3-Stage Charge Algorithm: Bulk – Absorption – Float

• For lead acid batteries, the absorption time is automatically adjusted to prevent overcharging during shallow discharges and ensure complete recharge after deep discharges.
• For lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed at 2 hours by default.
• Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be selected.

Remote On/Off

• A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected to a two-pole connector.
• The H terminal can be switched to battery plus, or the L terminal can be switched to battery minus (or vehicle chassis).

Robust and Reliable Design

• All models are short circuit proof and allow an unlimited number of units to be connected in parallel, increasing output current.
• High temperature protected: The output current reduces at high ambient temperatures.
• IP43 Protection: When installed with the screw terminals oriented downwards.

Smart Alternator Compatibility

• Ideal for vehicles with smart alternators (Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines).
• Includes built-in engine shutdown detection to prevent unwanted discharge of the starter battery when the engine is not running.
