Overview

The Blue Smart IP22 Charger is the new professional battery charger with built-in Bluetooth. It is designed for use in workshops and motor vehicles such as classic cars, motorbikes, boats, and camper-vans.

Key Features

• Bluetooth Smart
  The Blue Smart IP22 Charger provides a wireless solution to monitor voltage and current, change settings, and update the charger when new features become available.

• High Efficiency
  With up to 94% efficiency, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. Once the battery is fully charged, power consumption reduces to 0.5 Watt—five to ten times better than the industry standard.

• Adaptive 6-Stage Charge Algorithm
  Includes test, bulk, absorption, recondition, float, and storage stages. The adaptive battery management feature automatically optimizes the charging process based on battery usage.

• Storage Mode
  Reduces maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use. Float voltage is reduced to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion. Weekly absorption voltage adjustments prevent electrolyte stratification and sulfation, which are major causes of early battery failure.

• LiFePO₄ Battery Charging
  LiFePO₄ batteries are charged using a simple bulk–absorption–float algorithm.

• NIGHT and LOW Settings
  In NIGHT or LOW mode, output current is reduced to max. 50% of the nominal output, and the charger operates noiselessly. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours, while LOW mode can be ended manually.

• Overheating Protection
  Output current reduces as temperature increases up to 50°C, ensuring the charger does not fail.

• Status Indication
  Equipped with eleven LEDs to display charge algorithm stages: TEST, BULK, ABSORPTION, RECONDITION, FLOAT, STORAGE, READY.
  Includes a MODE button to set NORMAL (14.4V), HIGH (14.7V), RECONDITION, or LI-ION modes.
